On Monday November 20, 2023, the Republic of the Marshall Islands held general elections. All 33 seats of the Marshallese Parliament were contested. On the same day, a constitutional referendum also took place.
The Marshall Islands is a collection of 29 atolls and 5 islands. This stunning archipelago is geographically located between Hawaii and Australia. The capital city is Majuro. Nearly 98% of Marshall Islands territory is water, the largest proportion of water to land of any sovereign state.
The Electoral Administration in Marshall Islands has been using Electoral Services International Inc.’s election materials for years. 2023 was no different. On election day, ESI’s ballot boxes and indelible ink were successfully used for this democratic event.
By all accounts, voting day was said to be a positive experience. We wish Marshall Islands well today and into the future.
