On December 19, 2023, the West African nation of Ghana held most of their District-Level elections. In a select number of electoral areas, the vote was carefully rescheduled to December 21, 2023.
Registered voters went to the polls to elect 6,300 Assembly members and 31,000 Unit Committee members across 6,215 electoral areas in 216 metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies as their representatives for the next 4 years.
Early reports indicate that the atmosphere at the voting centres was friendly and calm. Security presence was said to be high.
Electoral Services International (ESI) was honored to be selected as an electoral supplier for this democratic event.
ESI wishes to thank the Electoral Commission. May its great efforts yield a positive outcome for Ghana.
