On February 19, 2021, registered voters in the British Overseas Territory of Turks and Caicos went to the polls for General Elections to elect members of the House of Assembly.
The 2021 election was said to have been carried out democratically, peacefully, and safely. Extensive documentation and video instruction was made available to voters with regards to COVID-19 health protocols.
The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) sent an observation mission to Turks & Caicos and declared “there was an atmosphere of quiet confidence and respect for the electoral process throughout the day”. The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Elections Observation Mission declared the election “free and fair”.
Electoral Services International Inc. (ESI) provided the Turks & Caicos Islands Government Elections Department with the indelible ink products necessary to carry out the election nationwide. ESI would like to thank them for their support and we wish them success going forward.
