On December 6, 2022, Dominica held general elections. The early (“snap”) elections were called just thirty (30) days prior to polling day. 21 parliamentary seats were being contested.
The Electoral Office in Roseau (Dominica’s capital city) had an organizational rush on their hands. Despite this fact, Election Day went as planned.
The Commonwealth Secretariat, Organization of American States (OAS), Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Latin American Council of Electoral Experts (LACEE) sent election observers to Dominica for the democratic event. The Commonwealth observation mission concluded that “election day and the pre-election atmosphere was largely peaceful, and voters were free to exercise their franchise, the results of which are a collective will of those who voted”.
Electoral Services International, Inc.’s long-time customer, the Electoral Office, contacted ESI to assist them in procuring the election materials necessary for the December 2022 vote. With expressions of gratitude and pride, ESI very much thanks the good people of Dominica for continuing to trust us. Special thanks goes out to the Chief Elections Officer in Roseau.
