Algeria’s Election

Presidential Elections took place in Algeria on September 7, 2024. Three Presidential candidates appeared on the final ballot thus vying for the Presidential post.

The President of Algeria is elected using the two-round system. In other words, if no candidate were to receive a majority of the vote in the first round, a second round (at a later date) would be held.

A full Presidential term in Algeria is five years.

For this election, there were approximately 24.5 million registered voters.

Electoral Services International Inc. (ESI) supplied electoral material for the Algerian vote. ESI was honored to assist Algeria’s National Independent Election Authority with this project.
