Back In Banjul

Electoral Services International Inc. (ESI) has the honour of announcing that we have been welcomed back to The Gambia to work with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) on updating their national voters list.

Following a competitive international tender submission process, the Gambian evaluation committee declared that ESI would be awarded the biometric voter registration (BVR) contract based on technical qualifications and financial capabilities.

After having assisted the IEC several times over the last two decades, this will be ESI’s fourth BVR project in The Gambia. ESI knows the IEC. ESI knows The Gambia. ESI knows the Gambian people. ESI has never and will never take these BVR exercises or our customers for granted. Together with the IEC, ESI will leave behind a transfer of knowledge and an accurate, reliable list of voters.

ESI’s onsite presence for the 2026 BVR project in The Gambia began in March 2026 and will conclude in July 2026. The offsite portion of the exercise began before we arrived onsite and will continue through October 2026. ESI will continue to support the IEC as needed until The Gambia’s Presidential elections slated for December 5, 2026.

The 2026 BVR project will have the classic milestones built within the IEC’s timeline. From datacentre preparations to customizing the registration kits to the extensive training schedule to field registration, data consolidation, matching, adjudication, to printing the final voters list. This project will have it all.

Kudos to the Gambian IEC for their hard work and dedication to this important democratic step in the voting process that all happens before polling day.

ESI remains thankful to the IEC for their ongoing trust and support.
